I Can't Take Anymore Snow
So who ever lives in New England knows that we are getting hit once again with a snow storm. I don't know about you but I'm so over the snow. The first snow fall was pretty and all but now it's just a little ridiculous.
Friday night Big Y got the okay to close at 9PM. Which is something that doesn't happen very often but glad that the D'Amours realized they had to do it. I was suppose to work until 7PM that night but was able to leave around 5:15. My roommate was going to come and get but I told him just to stay because the words were so bad. I ended up walking home. What takes about thirty minutes took around forty-five minutes. I ended up walking in the road most of the way because it's was clear and I think only two cars had passed me during the whole walk home.
So now this is storm number two for us and I'm in CT with Gus who is actually getting ready to leave for work in this. I told him he should have called out but didn't. I just told him to be extra careful driving in this weather.
Speaking of Gus. Friday was our two month anniversary. How exciting is that!? Although it feels like two years. I love him to death and I so can't wait to live the rest of my life with him. I know he is the one. I finally have snapped a photo of us together. You can view the photograph by clicking here. Aren't we cute together?
Well I suppose I should go and finish this school assignment that I've been neglecting for two or more weeks. Until next time.

Why Are Customers Rude?
Most of the time I love my job and some times I don't. Today was one of those days where I wanted to tell people to stick it up their ass. Forgive me for that remark but it's true.
So for some reason when people hear/see winter storm they all go into panic mode and figure that they MUST go out to get food because they will be trapped in their homes for weeks. NEWS FLASH. It's just one foot of snow not twelve.
So I was called to come in early because we were getting slammed. When I entered the store I could barely walk across the front-end to get to the Customer Service Desk so I could put my things away. Once I did get everything put away I grabbed register ten's cash till and RANG non-stop for five hours.
My back and arms were killing me. I'm not use to ringing five hours straight and we have very low registers so I'm always bending down to bag or put cash in the till. It sucked but I had no choice. There was no way I could close to take a break.
Oh then I had a customer tell me "Can't you move faster?" Uhm, how about you chill. I'm go has fast as I can. One thing the customers don't see is how fast it takes us to ring them out. On our register screens a clock appears at the end of the order. It took most customer between one to two minutes to get out of my line unless there was a huge order (more than forty dollars). You are coming into a store where everyone is shopping because of a snow storm. You should know you won't get in and out of the store! Another problem I have with customers is when I'm holding out my hand to collect your money you shouldn't throw it on the register belt in a big ball.
There are so many other things I could rant about but won't. I just want people to know that working in retail isn't easy especially when you have customers who are rude, and just make you feel like crap. Maybe you should walk a mile in our shoes and then maybe just maybe you will see what we feel.

Getting There ... Almost?
So for the past couple of weeks - well maybe month I've had a to-do list that I've been working on. Sooner or later I hope it's all gone. Seriously, there is not enough time in a day. Between work, school, my freelance job and personal life there is little time to do much other stuff.
To help keep track I've decided to actually create a to-do list on my blog. Normally I wouldn't write anything down but who am I kidding? I need to do this.
Let Your Voice Be Heard:
What and how do you keep track of things to-do. Do you use a calendar, a computer program, etc.? Leave your comment!

Is It Friday Yet?
I'm so tired.
I've worked the past six days and I still have three days to go before I get my weekend off. This is the weekend I'm going back to upstate New York to visit my mom for a early Christmas. The reason why I'm working these nine days is because I requested last Tuesday off to watch Britney perform on Good Morning America. If I didn't request that day off I probably would have a day off later in week. It sucks but at least I have four days coming up.
So my mom's Christmas present came into the mail today. It cost more than what I wanted to spend but I knew she really wanted it and plus she is my mother and she is the one who brought me into this world! If you are interested in the Christmas gift I bought her click here.
I also received my order from Columbia House (DVD). I received seasons six through eight of Will and Grace. I love this show. I now own the entire series. Score! I will probably watch one disc a night until I am finished with all the seasons. This show is classic. Some of the lines they say are just historical!
I suppose I should work on some homework now. I have a catalog and book editing to finish for my Indesign class. Once I have it complete I will post here (I hope). That also reminds me ... I have to work on my portfolio (LoucksDesign.net).

All Eyes On Her, In The Center of the Ring
So the other day Gus picked up our Britney Spears tickets from Ticketmaster. So of course I needed to know where we would be sitting/standing during the whole concert. I have to say they are pretty sweet seats. I think it will be the perfect view (see image below).

I really didn't want floor seats since you would probably have to stand on your toes or jump up and down to see Britney do her thing. Like I said I don't think these seats are going to be bad at all.
That's about it. I need to get ready for bed. I have to be at work for 7AM. Just six days until I go back to New York with Gus for the weekend to see my mom. So excited. Until next time.

The Latest Dental Visit
So my last visit to the dentist office they had set up an appointment to get two fillings done. Today was that appointment and on the way there I was nervous and scared. I have never had this type of procedure done before. A lot of co-workers told me that there's nothing to be worried because they would give me shots of Novocaine so that I couldn't feel any type of pain and would be out there is less the forty-five minutes.
So I arrive a half-hour early just in case they can take me in early, but that plan didn't work. It was quarter after four when they took me. My appointment set for four. So the time came and they called me to start the procedure. The assistant maid me feel very comfortable and at ease. Which was a good thing for me. Then Dr. Cinner, the gentlemen doing my fillings came in to give my shots of Novocaine. They both worked great as a team and made the experience a great one. After thirty minutes in the chair I was rinsing my mouth and heading out.
The best part of this visit was that I didn't have to pay for anything. During my last visit they told me that I might have to pay $136 but thought that I would have a credit because they had billed something incorrect during my last visit. Well I walked to the to the receptionist's desk and she told me that I was all set and that I could go. So I didn't have to pay anything. Which was great since I really didn't want to have to pay any out of pocket costs.
The numbness is gone but my right side is a hurting a little. However, it had to be done and it's just one thing to make my health even better. Next I have to set my appointment to have two teeth on my left side pulled since there is no way they can be saved and I can't afford $4000.00 for root canals and crowns. Ehhh.
